Grove City is a suburb in the south west of the Columbus metro area. It’s easy to get to from I-71 as well as I-270 (the Columbus Outer Belt). Grove City boasts a historical center surrounded by subdivisions of newer homes, apartments and commercial buildings.
Grove City and most of the surrounding area is serviced by Southwestern City School. It is the second largest school district in the Columbus area, but very progressive with new school buildings, dedicated teachers, and excellent facilities.
The Grove City Visitor Bureau and the Chamber of Commerce are excellent resources for finding businesses, government offices, and get a calendar of events.

When it comes to Columbus OH homes for sale, Grove City offers a great value to home buyers. There are many new subdivisions surrounding the old center of town that were effected by the mortgage crisis. You can find quite a few HUD homes for sale, which offer great quality homes that are just a few years old at discounts of 20% to 40% off their market value.
I recently previewed 2 Grove City HUD homes that are both in move in condition and can be purchased by owner occupants at a significant discount off their original value.
The first HUD house is located at 3809 Williams Nook, just south of the center of Grove City. It’s a 3 bedroom, 2,200 sqft home built in 2005. It is practically new! It is listed for $148,000, but I know that HUD will accept lower offers, if there’s no competition.
The other HUD home at 4684 Michael Place comes with 4 bedrooms and 2,300 sqft of living space. It is in the same subdivision and offered for sale at $165,000.
Both homes are located in the Hoover Park subdivision, just off Harrisburg Pike, south of the center of the city. Comparable sales in this subdivision are approximately $180K to $195K, so both of these homes for sale are excellent deals.
