You can find all Fannie Mae homes available for sale at HomePath.com. 361 homes are available in Franklin County alone. They also offer special financing terms for owner occupants and for properties that need renovation.
Are Fannie Mae homes any better than HUD homes?
There’s no correct answer to this questions. A few weeks ago we listed 4 Fannie Mae homes. One of them is in excellent condition, one of them is in terrible shape and the other 2 are average.
There are 2 real benefits to Fannie Mae homes:
- Utilities are usually turned on, which means that Fannie Mae homes are not freezing cold in winter.
- Fannie Mae does sometimes repair homes, so there’s a better chance of getting a property that’s in move in condition.
