The first half of 2019 is over. Time to take inventory of what we’ve accomplished and to be grateful for the opportunities I had to be of service to my clients.
2019 has been a very good year so far. This map shows my personal production over the past 6 months. Listings I sold are orange and home purchases are green – 31 transactions all together (the average Columbus Realtor only sells 4 homes per year).
Many Listings Sold Above Asking Price
I listed and sold 15 homes (orange dots on the map above) since the beginning of the year. 67% of them were in contract in 8 days or less. Half of my listings generated multiple offers and sold above list price.
Not every listing sold immediately. Despite our best efforts and excellent marketing strategy, some homes are more difficult to sell. Real estate is local. While some neighborhoods are truly in demand, others are getting “cold”.

I was also able to help 16 clients purchase a home.
Buying has been very challenging for many of you in this hot sellers’ market. Nevertheless, my buyers won most of the time.
Sometimes I had to advise my clients not to compete and overpay for properties that would not be a good investment.
Recognized for Community Involvement
A week ago, Business First published its Corporate Citizenship List. It ranks all Central Ohio Companies based on cash donations to charitable organizations. The list also shows the value of in-kind donations and volunteer hours by employees.
RE/MAX 24/7 ended up at number 82. I am super proud of this result. This list includes some of the largest Columbus corporations, with Nationwide, Wendy’s, AEP, Cardinal Health and Kroger leading the list.
An organization I am personally very committed to is the Children’s Miracle Network. If you hired me to buy or sell a house, you did receive an Honor Card. I made a donation in your name to help sick kids at Nationwide Children’s Hospital right here in Columbus.
