In the past few years Tiny Houses have become more popular with home buyers. This is partially due to the popularity of TV shows like Tiny House Builders, Tiny House Hunters, and Tiny House, Big Living (all on HGTV).

Another reason for this trend is the lack of suitable land for building new subdivisions. Over the past 4 decades the average size of an American Home has increased from 1,780 sqft in 1978 to 2,662 sqft in 2013.

Tiny Houses

With a severe shortage of homes available to first time buyers, Tiny Houses seem like a great alternative. Tiny Houses are typically smaller than 400 sqft. They are less expensive to buy, more environmentally friendly, and many are mobile.

The Tiny Home for Tiny Tots Auction

RE/MAX has been a partner of the Children’s Miracle Network for more than two decades. The charitable organization raises money to pay for children’s medical costs and pediatric medical research at participating hospitals across the United States and Canada. Nationwide Children’s Hospital is directly benefiting from these donations.

To celebrate the 35-year anniversary of the Children’s Miracle Network, RE/MAX is auctioning off a tiny home with all proceeds going to network hospitals.

The Tiny Home for Tiny Tots was designed and built by architectural students at Michigan’s Henry Ford College. It measures 24 x 8.5-feet, has one bedroom, one bathroom and a full-kitchen. It will go up for auction between July 26 and July 28, 2018.

Our Miracle Office

For every commission check I receive I make a donation to CMN in honor of my clients. During the first half of 2018 I donated more than $2,000 to the Children’s Miracle Network.

If you purchased or sold a home with me you probably received an Honor Card acknowledging the donation.

Since we opened our office in 2012, we reach our contribution goal every year. That’s why RE/MAX 24/7 has been honored as a Miracle Office.
