Yesterday evening was the President’s Ball of the Columbus Association of Realtors. It’s an annual event where we install a new president and directors for the coming year. These are important volunteer positions, and their service will benefit anyone owning or buying real estate. Before we jump into the inventory homes and all the wonderful discounts for the end of the year, would you mind if I said how proud I am of the RE/MAX 24/7 Team!

During the Ball we had an awards ceremony, where individual Realtors are recognized for their achievements during the past year.

Each full-time agent in our brokerage received an award. I am very proud of the RE/MAX 24/7 team of agents who accomplished so much this year.

I was among only 40 agents who were honored with the $25 Million Dollar Award. There are close to 8,000 Realtors in Columbus, so it’s great to be part of this elite group.

Many thanks to all of you, especially to my clients and friends for trusting me with their home purchase or sale.

Searching for New Builds?

With the current tight inventory, you may have thought about building a new home instead of competing for existing listings. Unfortunately, new developments are hard to find. There’s no single resource to go to. And many new builds are not on the MLS.

We started a project to develop a comprehensive New Build website for Northwest Columbus. I would like to get your input and find out what’s most important to you when you are searching for new construction.

Please complete our 1 question survey to help us create the best new construction site possible. Click the button below – it will only take a minute.

Inventory Homes Sell-Off

Builders are still sitting on inventory homes they want to sell (or at least get in contract) before the end of the year. They are offering HUGE DISCOUNTS to move these properties.

For instance, Fischer is offering price reductions of up to $100,000 as compared to the new build price on their Dublin inventory homes.

Why You Need to Act Now

You should make a purchase decision before the end of the year, because new construction prices will go up in 2018. Here are 5 reasons why:

  1. Increasing cost and shortage of suitable land to build on
  2. Increasing cost of home site development
  3. Shortage of skilled contractors
  4. Soaring lumber prices
  5. General lack of inventory of listings

If you are ready to make a decision before the end of the year and lock in lower prices, or just want to find out what discounts you can get, Call or text me at (614) 975-9650 before you talk to a builder!
