With most public events canceled, schools on extended spring break, and many companies recommending working from home you may be wondering how you should go about house hunting.

As COVID-19 is mostly transmitted by personal contact (per the CDC) the best way to avoid getting infected is to minimize public gatherings and getting close to others who may be infected.

Here’s what we do to keep you safe and limit potential exposure:

Online Consultations

We offer online buyer consultations by video conference, Facebook Live, or simply over the phone. This means you don’t need to travel to my office, and you can learn about the home buying process from the comfort of your own home.

Virtual Home Tours

All of my listings come with 3D, virtual home tours. You can move around the inside of the house and see every corner and room without physically entering the property.

The best way to explore the outside of a listing is with Google 3D and Streetview.

With Google 3D you can fly over a neighborhood and see realistic, 3-dimensional views of buildings and trees.

With Streetview you can drive along the road and explore the neighborhood from the street level.

Paperless Contracts

We’ve been using digital signatures and online contracts for many years. You can sign your offer on your phone – no need to meet at the office.

Showings

When we actually meet for showings and look at listings, I will bring extra hand sanitizer, avoid touching exposed surfaces, and we will drive in separate vehicles.

Following common sense guidelines to stop the spread of germs will reduce the risk of any infection, not just the Coronavirus.

And the good news … as other buyers abandon their home search due to COVID-19 you will have less competition when you submit an offer on a listing!
